This is something that I would want to do with my 360 for sure. This is one part that I'm not totally satisfied with from the 360 (although I'm overly satisfied with pretty much everything else they have done). I AM taking advantage of my PC to transfer files, but I like things that are clean and easy...therefore I'd love to drop a 300GB HDD in my 360 to fit as many movies, demos, games, music, and shows as I want. However, I imagine they've done this to help prevent hacks and mods.

As a lover of technology, games, and being an early adopter...I'm used to navigating menus and figuring out setups without using a manual or whatever. But I can sorta see some of the complaints from a novice user of the 360 UI. The 'blade" system couldn't be any easier to use in my opinion, however I personally don't care for the guide button functionality at this point. Now hear me out...I LOVE the guide button and how I can change music and settings and what not with it, but I'd like t...

The reason that I don't want HD DVD or Blu-Ray to be standard is that they are unproven, and the raw costs of the discs will drive up the cost of games. Keep it on DVD9 and it will end up being the best deal, $ wise, for gamers. Changing discs is not an issue, and I would bet there wont be any issues with having to swap a disc in the middle of a battle or anything. Not an issue for me.

...Only a true tarded fanboy would knock Sony's attempt to fix something, cause if they don't fix it then that lowers the standards for MS and Nintendo, which I don't want.

The problem is as TheMART said, it's the fact that this is an after attempt to correct a problem that shouldn't have been a problem at all. It really seems to me that Sony is over their heads with this online service. It really makes me respect MS for pulling off such a "difficult" task.

...I should have included that in the description. That line blew me away, cause HALO 3 looks good right now in pre-alpha stage, but to think that it could be at "Gears of Huh" level is amazing. Bungie is known for putting out real clean and fresh graphics, but not exactly known for "mind blowing" graphics. That would be great if H3 looked that good.

I'm just looking forward to learning what exactly it takes to finish this fight.

I'm a known XBOX fan (- the boy), but I would say that it's time for some new leadership at Sony. If I was a shareholder and heard all of the negative press surrounding the PS3 I would be upset. Unproven technology, low production, mediocre online service, lack of quality first party games, loss of 3rd party exclusives, delayed launch, delayed Euro launch, lower number of launch systems, bad launch game reviews, crying babies...I'm sorry but I'd kick Ken to the curb.

I'm a spo...

I could easily see Sony saying this is the way it is. I also wonder if there is a quality team behind their service to improve this. Sony so far, and up to launch, has seemed to have taken a laissez-faire approach to their online service. Hence all of the user created items that are supposed to be online, and also the fact that they're letting developers dictate what they put on there.

...MS had their share of hiccups with the 360, but they have always had the right infrastructure to make their online experience tight and made the 360 easily and quickly navigable. On launch night for the 360 I had more trouble finding the 1080i setting on my TV than I did setting up the 360. Plug N' Play all the way.

One thing I take for granted on the 360 is the ability to multi-task (listen to music while I download a demo while I'm playing an arcade game). Not being able t...

That's what I thought.

I like fighting games and was really good at Tekken 1-3, but I'm not hardcore for the fighting genre. I didn't like DOA4 cause there was a hellafied learning curve. It took me forever to learn the right moves just to beat one story mode. It was too hard out of the box, and should of had a REAL "easy" setting. Same thing with Ninja Gaiden...TOO hard for a casual gamer. I'm totally fine with having to learn moves, and not just button mashing, but give me a break. Everytime you get clo...

People are stupid to bid for this nonsense.

...kinda knocks the crap out of the "killer app" idea. There isn't one for Sony like the fanboys have claimed R:FOM would be. Of course the Japs don't like those kind of games, they just like cute, bright colored mutant beings running around doing magic.

...but they didn't have to give me a $7500 PC. All I did was play Gears of War and I was committed to never buying a PS3.

I posted a comment yesterday on a story that Dusty never published. Here it goes.

Sony screwed this one up. The PS2 was such a name brand that it didn't matter that it was an inferior machine to the XBOX. Fanboys and hardcore gamers pay attention to specs, features, games, etc., but the average gamer DOESN'T. When every rap star was putting the PS2 in their car, bathroom, kitchen, or wherever...they weren't doing it cause of superior graphics or TFLOPS. They were doing it...

With the PS2 they saw that DVD was the upcoming format. My Family had a DVD player in 1998 and it was $1000, but by the end of 1999 it was at $600 and many more movies available. By the end of 2000 and early 2001 DVD players were in the $300 range and all studios were making DVD's at that point. Sony knew that DVD was already HERE at the time and got on the bandwagon and rode it to 100 million units.

NOW, the Blu-Ray and HD DVD are both unproven and in the earliest stages (lik...

Yeah, I'm super excited about this game and Mad Tracks. These are gonna be some bad ass indie games.

Phenomenal! You laid it out and hit a home run. Sony keeps knocking these guys down, but they still come back for more. I'm sorry, but I've got too much dignity to put up with that. Wii60!!!
